Ah, summer has arrived! And flown by! But not without
a flurry (or standstill) of activity. Be it the week-long vacation or an hour
long picnic; we all want to fill these next couple months with fun. So the
question; how to do it without breaking the bank? The summer season does not have to be a drain on your savings. There are plenty of opportunities to have an enjoyable time on the cheap side. So I have compiled a few of my favorites. Without further ado, here are five ways to have an
adventurous, incredible, unforgettable summer (on a budget).
- Sign Up For Deals!
(personally my favorites are Auntie Anne's, Cinemark, and Chick-fil-a)
- Go Outdoors!
- Look Local
- Go to the Zoo
- Take on Learning a New Hobby.
Often learning a new skill is a great way to spend your
time. While I know hobbies are not always free or even cheap that doesn't mean
they can't be. Shop sales, borrow equipment, go in on a project with a friend
and spilt the cost, check garage sales. You don't need fancy gadgets or
classes. With YouTube and the internet available, learning something new
becomes as easy as breathing.
So
I hope you enjoyed my tips on spending less this summer. I am super excited for
many memory filled days with friends and family. Now I leave you with this;
relax, enjoy, savor, take in all that's around you, and remember to
cherish every moment.
