About

My life is pretty hectic! With a barn full of bunnies, one sassy beagle, LOTS of activities, and two businesses I barely have time to think. But that aside I hope to share some of my experiences and adventures with you through this blog.

So yes, I am a socially awkward homeschool graduate. I grew up the middle of three kids in the great state of Texas, where I currently reside. In Texas everything is bigger, we do say ya'll (all the time!!) and of course we love our 100 degree weather, which it normal here.  Homeschooled from the start I was deeply involved in 4-H, the local Co-op, and, of course dance. In my younger days I was incredibly shy. I might have be seen hiding behind my mom while twirling my hair. However now I am an overactive and super outgoing young entrepreneur. You could say I have changed a little in the past few years. My journey in 4-H pushed me to new places. I earned the Silver Star, Gold Star, Letterman, Danforth "I Dare You" Award, as well as the Outstanding Community Service Award. I spoke to different groups and tried new things. With 4-H I found what I was good at, which generally means sewing. Since the first dress I made at the age of eight I was hooked! It really sparked a passion, I would study, learn new techniques, and invest hours into working on various pieces. All this work paid off when I won Grand Champion Sewing twice at the local fair, and even advanced in 4-H to the national level where I received 5th overall. In fact I love it so much that I have a dream of having my own Costuming Business someday.

Every day I wake up and reflect upon the grace I am given. You see at a young age I made a decision that forever changed my life. I found my Lord and Savior. In all things He is with my and guides me. And I could not possibly be where I am without him. So with all that I do, I will give Him the glory and credit. My desire is to grow ever closer to Him. He is my guide and dearest friend. With Christ all things are possible, and He reveals that every moment. I don't know what His plans for me are. All I know is to trust where He leads. Hopefully I will get married someday and be blessed as a good helpmeet as well as mother. With that I am learning patience in His timing and will. And while I wait I seek to serve and draw ever closer to my Savior. If you know Jesus I would challenge you to seek Him with all of your being, to learn of Him, and just take the time to be with Him. If you don't know Jesus Christ as your personal friend and Savior, I would love to talk with you and share what He has done in my life.

At a an early time in my life I discovered the wonderful world of business. I love to see opportunity everywhere. And of course I cannot pass up a good one. At the age of eight, I started selling baked goods to my family. But by words of praise, others at my church and family friends where asking to buy my bread and cookies too. So thus began my journey of entrepreneurship. It quickly expanded to the Buck Bakery. I made order forms and receipts. I also learned all about tracking expenses and investing back into your business. So then I thought why not try jewelry. I took some of my earnings and purchased supplies. It went well for a while, but one thing about a product like that is you can only sell it once. People won't buy 20 earrings. But they will buy 100 cookies. So of course I went back to my bakery. Leaning this has brought me to my current businesses now. I learned a vast amount as a child. And now I get to apply it to real life. Nothing beats experience, even if its hard learned!

My goals are perhaps a bit extensive. But especially to those who really know me, I am a dreamer! I think anything is possible. Someday I want to travel, especially to England, where I can do mission work. I hope to continue to grow in knowledge, to learn to love others more deeply, to have more compassion and patience. Perhaps someday I will learn a few more languages. I want to have my own self sufficient homestead. I am of course a farm girl at heart, so it's only fitting. A farm where there is no sound of traffic, where you can see the stars as brightly as possible, a place where you can picnic under large trees, and animal roam about the whole place. This is perhaps my biggest dream, but someday I want to be a millionaire. Crazy Right! It isn't really to say you have money, but the more you have the more you can give, in time or coin.

So here are some random, crazy, fun facts about me!

  1. I'm like you in that I used to be super shy, but now I'm much more outgoing, though I still have my shy moments. ;) And I looove stargazing too! The stars are so beautiful, and whenever I look at them, I can't help but wonder and awe at the God who made them! And that is so cool that you had your own business at eight years old! I'd love to have my own small business sometime, maybe even soon!

    1. Thanks so much for commenting!:)Its just so humbling to know the depth and size of stars. That our Creator knows each by name,, and created them by simply speaking them into being. Yet in all His power and magnitude He created us in his image, as His children. Having your own business is wonderful and very freeing. Good luck starting yours. I am sure it will do splendidly. It was great talking! Hope you have an awesome week.
